Through the year

Markets are seasonal. The bakery isn’t.

Farmers market season runs through the warmer months and winds down in the autumn. When the markets close for the year, weekly baking carries straight on — you order online and collect in Athol, or have it delivered.

Off-season we still turn up in person: holiday markets, pop-ups, and the occasional collaboration with a local shop or restaurant. Those are announced in the Journal and by email.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does ordering work?

Browse the week’s bake, add what you’d like to your basket, and check out. You choose pickup or delivery. Everything is baked fresh for that day — nothing sits on a shelf. Right now we bake for Friday pickup and delivery, with orders in by 3pm on Wednesday.

When do I collect my order?

We bake on Friday mornings for Friday pickup and delivery. Get your order in by 3pm on Wednesday and we’ll confirm the time and place in your order email. As we grow, more bake days will follow.

Where exactly is pickup?

Pickup is in Athol, Idaho. We love and respect our neighbors, and our property is reached through theirs — so collecting at the bakery is the exception rather than the norm. We would rather bring your order to a spot we agree on in advance. It costs us a little more in time and gas, and our neighbors appreciate it.

Having tapas at Candle in the Woods? Shopping at Super 1? Filling up at the Conoco or the 76? We’re there. Just tell us your preferred time and place at checkout and we’ll confirm.

Do you deliver, and how far?

Yes — to addresses roughly twenty minutes from Athol. Enter your address at checkout and the delivery option will appear if you qualify. If it doesn’t appear, pickup is still available.

Is there a delivery fee or minimum order?

Delivery is added at checkout when your address qualifies. The minimum order for delivery is $45, which includes a $5 delivery fee — and the fee is waived on orders over $65.

Can I still buy at a farmers market without ordering ahead?

Yes. We bring extra to every market. Ordering ahead simply guarantees your loaf — popular items often sell out before the afternoon is out.

What happens if I miss my pickup?

Get in touch as soon as you can and we’ll do what we can to sort it out. Bread is baked to order, so unclaimed loaves can’t always be held over.

Can I change or cancel an order?

We are flexible. That said, once the doughs are made it is in the books, as they say. We will do our best to accommodate a late change and we hate to say no — but with old-world fermentation it is not always possible to add or cut.

Do you take large or standing orders?

Absolutely. We love standing orders, and given time to prepare we can handle large volumes. The bakery was built to grow, so we have plenty of capacity — get in touch with what you need and when.
